You know that whole “I need a vacation from my vacation” joke? By this time of the year, there is a very good chance you’re feeling like you need a break from everything– no matter your religion or cultural heritage. With all the family, marathon eating, and festive cheer, the holidays are downright hard work. Don’t be afraid to take sometime for your Self. If you’re having trouble asking for what you need, I’ve gone ahead and wrote you a post-holiday excuse note.
Consider it a get out of jail free card for those less-than-cheery holiday moments.
Feel free to show this to anyone you feel like you might be letting down or offending because you need to take time for your Self. Most importantly, read it aloud as a reminder that you need to take care of your own business before you try to take on the challenge of supporting others. There is absolutely nothing wrong with giving your Self the gift of freedom– even if it’s only for a couple of hours.
Answer those emails! Watch those YouTubes! Insta those Grams and rub your Face all up in those Books. Take a nap, go for that run. Do the yoga of YOU.
Drop me a line in the comments if you want a personalized version of this Post Holiday Excuse Note. I’ll email you your very own PDF to do with as you please. Be advised, I’m going to ask you to join my mailing list and LIKE my Facebook situation in return. Whether you do it or not is completely up to you. Enjoy yo’ self 😉
Happy Holidays, y’all.
