I spend a lot of time thinking about AcroYoga– much more than I actually do it– and often question what makes it so fascinating. The intention is to get to the core of what inspires me to continue developing my practice. It’s not just about strength or flexibility, stillness or grace, flash or substance. The focus isn’t on any one element. It’s on all of them.
Balance is the midpoint between two extremes, and the Flamethrower is going to challenge the hell out of your extremes. This AcroYoga washing machine is a prime example of the balance between yoga and acrobatics. With both static poses and flowing movements, get ready to move and be moved.
Relatively simple in direction (forward), practicing this sequence develops a great deal of sensitivity between partners, strength in the base, control in the flyer, and trust in the connection.
Give it a try and tell me what you think! If you enjoy this video, please LIKE and SHARE with everyone you know 😉
